Information about Dynjandi

Dynjandi (meaning ‘thunderous’), at the end of Arnarfjordur, is the most powerful waterfall in the Westfjords and breathtaking in its beauty.

Dynjandi is actually a series of waterfalls (seven in all), with a cumulative height of 100 meters. The main uppermost tier is particularly notable with its trapezoidal shape (30 m wide at the top, 60 m wide at the bottom).
