Information about Drangajökull

 

Drangajokull is Iceland's northernmost glacier. It lies above the Hornstrandir peninsula in the Western Fjords.

The glacier covers 160-200 km2 at an altitude of 925 m. Alone among Iceland's glaciers Drangajokull has not shrunk in recent years and is also the only one of the glaciers entirely below an altitude of 1000 m.
