Blue Lagoon Shuttle | Bus Transfer
4 hours
All year

Jump aboard this highly efficient bus transfer from Iceland's capital, Reykjavík, to the world-famous spa, The Blue Lagoon. This is the perfect opportunity for all of those looking to reach this relaxing spa without having to worry about directions or driving the winter roads. This Blue Lagoon transfer takes you from Reykjavík to the famous geothermal spa, the Blue Lagoon on the Reykjanes Peninsula. The transfer itself will take approximately forty-five minutes, during which time you can organise your return journey and enjoy the spectacular and diverse landscapes of the Reykjanes Peninsula as they pass by your window.   Once you arrive at the Blue Lagoon spa itself, you will be immediately taken by the soothing milky blue waters and the large white clouds that billow from the water's surface. Why not enjoy a massage or a face mask? If not that, then try smothering yourself with the silica mud at the lagoon's bottom, renown for its incredible healing properties to the skin. Surrounding the spa itself is a plethora of gorgeous scenery, from snow-blanketed rocks to distant mountains. The entrance ticket to the lagoon itself needs to be pre-booked separately in advance. This is because the lagoon is often fully booked, and thus places are competitive. The most suitable timing of the entrance ticket should be an hour and a half after the pickup time of the bus transfer. This should give you enough time to fully maximise your time at the Blue Lagoon.  Return transfer to Reykjavík is included or, if you rather visit the lagoon after a holiday in Iceland, you can continue to Keflavík International Airport after a soak at the Spa.  Don't miss out on this essential Icelandic experience, relaxing in the warm and magical waters of the Blue Lagoon Spa. Check availability by choosing a date.

All year

Hop on the Flybus for fast, reliable transportation to Keflavik International Airport from your guesthouse or hotel in Reykjavik. Sit back and relax as our experienced drivers transport you through the stunning Reykjanes Peninsula, a plateau of volcanic fields to your left, the rolling blue waves of the Atlantic Ocean to your right.  The drive from the city is short, approximately 45 minutes duration, but filled with spectacular sights and familial comforts. After a morning taking in the final perfect cup of coffee or finishing up any last-minute shopping, the last thing you want to worry about it making it to the airport in time.  Because passengers are advised to arrive at the airport 2 hours before their scheduled departure, it is recommended to take a Flybus 3 hours before your departure in order to arrive at the airport on schedule.  Depending on the time of your flight, this should leave with more than enough time to enjoy some final attractions in the city. If not, Keflavik airport is modern and positively brimming with facilities, including bars, cafes and duty-free shopping.  The prices are reasonable, and there are discounts for children accompanied by a family member. Between the ages of 1-11, children ride free! Children aged 12-15 receive a 50% discount. DC-3 Plane Wreck Shuttle
1 hour
All year

Take a trip to one of the most photographed sites on Iceland’s south coast, the DC-3 plane wreck. This shuttle tour is perfect for those who want to see this incredible landmark with ease and comfort. On November 21st, 1973 this US Navy aircraft was on a routine flight from Höfn in Iceland’s east. At around 2 pm, the Douglas R4D-8 Super DC-3 aircraft crash-landed on the black sand desert of Sólheimasandur, between Hvolsvöllur and the fishing village of Vík í Mýrdal on the South Coast. All passengers aboard the flight survived the crash, and the Navy abandoned the plane. Since then, the remains of this plane have been lying on the volcanic sands, exposed to the elements.  After the tourism boom of 2011, visitors began to make a pilgrimage to the crash site to catch a glimpse of this unnatural wonder against the stunning and stark landscape. Until recently, to get to the DC-3 plane, visitors had to park on the main road then hike for an hour. Now there’s a better way.  With this shuttle tour, you will board a comfortable bus that takes you directly to the plane wreck in about 15 minutes. Along the way, you will be able to take in the rocky and otherworldly landscapes of Sólheimasandur. This area was created by glacial bursts and floods over thousands of years, carving a black sand desert out of Iceland’s southern coast. Once you arrive at your destination, there is plenty of time to take in the surroundings, get a closer look at the plane, and take those outstanding photos. After you have witnessed the incredible sights of this unique attraction, you will board the bus again and head back to your starting point. This shuttle operates all day between 10 am and 5 pm. This means there’s plenty of opportunities to take advantage of this incredible site, and still fit other things into your day. This is the perfect way to see the DC-3 plane wreck in absolute comfort. This attraction won’t be around forever, so don’t miss out. Pick a date and time to check availability.

Hike some of Iceland’s most popular trails, without having to worry about rental cars or tour groups, with the Hiking Bus Passport. The hike is one of the most famous in Iceland and takes you through a diverse array of beautiful scenery. The Fimmvörðuháls trail, meanwhile, can be done within a day, taking 7-10 hours, or in two days as there is a hut to sleep in midway. The route has become increasingly popular since 2010, as it passes over the fresh lava formed by the notorious eruption of the volcano and glacier Eyjafjallajökull. It, in fact, goes through a pass between this mighty glacier and another, Mýrdalsjökull. Avid Trekkers can enjoy the hike of a lifetime in Iceland, and considering the savings made with a bus passport, could have a surprisingly affordable holiday in Iceland. As there are also numerous shorter hiking trails in both Þórsmörk and Landmannalaugar, this passport should also appeal to those who seek to immerse themselves in nature without going on a longer hike, and not needing to worry about driving or being a part of a tour group. The beauty of a bus passport is the amount of freedom you have; you decide the timing of everything and are beholden to no-one. Considering you are likely to be camping if taking the Laugavegur trail, you don’t even need to worry about accommodation. The one thing to keep in mind is making sure you catch your buses. Hike Iceland’s most beautiful reaches without going over-budget, and do so with complete freedom. Check availability by choosing a date.

Highland Hikers Passport
1 hour

Reach the start of your hiking destination with the Highland Hikers Passport. This ticket takes you to one of the starting points of two of Iceland's most popular highland hiking routes, the Laugavegur hiking trail and the Fimmvörðuháls hiking trail, as well as including a return transfer from the other side. You will be able to take a bus from Reykjavík to Skógar waterfall, Landmannalaugar or Þórsmörk. These three points sit at along the Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls routes; the former goes from Landmannalaugar to Þórsmörk, while the latter goes from Þórsmörk to Skógar. While both of these trails are very different, they have similarities; both will expose you to awe-inspiring highland views, with rhyolite mountains, incredible glaciers, hot springs, lava fields, black-sand deserts and waterfalls. As both include Þórsmörk, you'll get to experience this stunning forested valley regardless of your direction. The beauty of this passport is that you can choose what to do; you are welcome to take either route or if you are particularly ambitious, do both. You will also have great flexibility as you can take as much time for the hike as you please, between the dates of June 20th to September 9th, when the Highlands are accessible. This ticket has particular appeal to those on a budget; visiting the Highlands is usually quite expensive, but with this option, all you need to do is buy the ticket, your food and drink, and the equipment you will need. To be on the safe side, it is wise to be updated on the weather forecast. Make sure to organise your travel plans and be prepared with the right gear for the various weather conditions. Be aware that these treks should only be taken by skilled hikers, as each route takes several days to complete. Immerse yourself in the Icelandic Highlands without breaking the bank.
