Reykjavik City Card | Children's Card

Children will be fascinated by Reykjavík's culture and history.
The Coastguard is Iceland's only military force, and its boats can be seen at the harbour.
Reykjavík is home to dozens of geothermally heated swimming pools.
Kids will enjoy the Family Park and Zoo, where they can pet farm animals.
Icelandic horses are very family-friendly, with their gentle nature.
You don't need to leave Reykjavík to see seals!

Let your kids get to know the wonders of Iceland’s capital by purchasing a Reykjavík City Card. There are a wealth of things to do for the whole family, whether you have one, two or three days to explore.

Though Iceland is best known for its spectacular landscapes, such as its volcanoes, glaciers, lava fields and black sand beaches, it is becoming more and more renowned for the delights of its capital. The museums, galleries, swimming pools and other attractions provide a fantastic insight into Icelandic culture and history.

With the Reykjavík City Card, you can easily visit a wealth of sites without putting your hand in your pocket. You can enter four museums, four galleries, the National Museum and Gallery and seven swimming pools. You’ll also get access to public transport, the ferry to and from Viðey Island and the Family Park and Zoo.

The Family Park and Zoo is a particularly delightful place to bring the young ones; it is home to many animals they can pet, and they can see creatures such as seals, arctic foxes and reindeer.

You will also get discounted prices to independent museums, such as the Whales of Iceland, and in many shops and restaurants around the city. With the low price of the card for kids, this allows for an action-packed, immersive day for a great bargain.

Even more adult institutions, such as the museums, have interactive displays where kids can be both educated and entertained. The Árbær Open Air Museum, for example, is a fantastic place to see Icelandic history, with its many 18th Century buildings, and has staff in traditional attire who are happy to talk to the children about their culture and folklore.

Upon purchasing the City Card, you’ll have either twenty-four, forty-eight or seventy-two hours of exploration, meaning you do not need to rush. Regardless of which you choose, you will have by far enough options to fill your time with.

Take your children around one of the cultural capitals of the world for a great price. Check availability by choosing a date.

This card is for children ages 6-16. For an adult version of the card please see Reykjavik City Card | Reykjavik in Depth.
