Overalls, goggles, helmets and of course snowmobiles will be provided for this adventure across South Iceland's snowy landscapes.
The sun glaring intensely agains the pristine white snow of the South Iceland glacier Mýrdalsjökull.
Skógafoss is one of the many waterfalls in Iceland's south fed by a glacier river.
Seljalandsfoss waterfall is usually the South Coast's most serene site, but not in high winds!
The scale of South Iceland's Skógafoss waterfall is incredible, its power mesmerising, and its rainbows beautiful.
As this summer picture shows, a walkway encircles the stunning cascade of the South Coast waterfall Seljalandsfoss.

Come along on a thrilling experience where you’ll go for a snowy ride on Mýrdalsjökull, an icecap in the South of Iceland. The snowmobile tour is great if you’re looking for a sensational way to get up close and personal with Iceland’s spectacular scenery.

After being picked up in Reykjavík, you start off with a visit to one of the South Coast’s best sites, Skógafoss waterfall. It’s one of the most visited waterfalls in all of Iceland, known for being one of the largest and most powerful cascades in the country.

If you’re lucky, the weather will be sunny, and big rainbows might form through the waterfall's mist. From Skógafoss, you'll continue to Mýrdalsjökull where the glacial adventure awaits you.

Mýrdalsjökull’s is Iceland’s fourth largest glacier, measuring about 600 square km with the highest peak reaching 1,493 m. The glacier covers one of Iceland’s most famous volcanos, Katla. 16 eruptions have been documented in Katla since settlement, but the last one occurred in 1918.

Further away lies Eyjafjallajökull volcano, which halted all air traffic in Europe with its 2010 eruption. Both volcanos are actively monitored by scientists, so thankfully you don’t need to worry about finding yourself in a volcanic hazard on this tour.

At the glacier, you'll be given everything you need for a safe and comfortable ride, and your expert guides will go over the necessary safety procedures before you mount up. The snowmobiles are easy to drive and suitable for beginners. However, a valid driver’s license is required, and non-drivers will have to be passengers.

After gearing up at the base camp, you’ll move towards the icecap in a tricked-out glacier truck. The snowmobile ride takes you the rest of the way to the top of Mýrdalsjökull where you will have the chance to take in some eye-popping views and unforgettable photographs.

After a thrilling ride of whizzing through the white plains of the ice cap, you'll be taken back to the city where you can unwind after an exciting day.
