Join this thrilling Golden Circle excursion in a specially modified Super Jeep, with an added visit to volcanic crater lake Kerið. Anyone wishing to enjoy the most quintessential Icelandic sights and experiences should not let this opportunity pass.

Your journey begins as you get picked up in Reykjavík City, after which you will make your way to the most celebrated sightseeing route in the country, the Golden Circle.

Your first stop will be at Þingvellir National Park, a stunningly scenic valley that sits at the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the continental plates of Eurasia and North America meet and leave visible cracks and fissures in a vast, moss-coated field of volcanic lava.

Then, your Super Jeep will whisk you east across a rocky mountain road to Lyngdalsheiði Hill, where you can bask in the views of lava fields and Lake Laugarvatn. Then, you will continue to the geothermal valley Haukadalur, home to spouting geysers and bubbling mud pools.

See the geyser Strokkur put on a magnificent display of hot water spewing from the earth as high as 20-30 metres in the air, during intervals of only 5-10 minutes. Explore the hot springs and steam vents that dot the area, before continuing to see the king of all waterfalls in Iceland.

Gullfoss Waterfall is a mighty water giant, as it cascades the glacier water from Hvítá River down two impressive tiers into a grand canyon below. After having admired and photographed these beautiful falls, you will have a short lunch break at Gullfoss Café.

Once fed, you will again board your Super Jeep and head to the interior mountain road Kjölur, before approaching Iceland’s second largest glacier Langjökull. Conditions decide on how far up to the glacier you'll go, but your modified mountain vehicle can take you much further than a normal car.

Come afternoon, you will begin to make your way back to Reykjavík City, but not before a stop at Kerið, an ethereal crater lake in Iceland’s Western Volcanic Zone. Then, if time allows, you will get to stop at the hot spring area in Hveragerði to admire the geothermal scenery, before calling it a day and heading back to the capital.

Don’t miss out on this essential Iceland adventure, to see all the primary sights and enjoy exciting activities that will make your holiday memorable. Check availability by choosing a date.
