Come by for some Comedy and some brew! At Ægisgarður Brewery, the Broadway Hit Show and Olivier Award Winning comedy "Defending the Caveman" has found its place.

A world-renowned one-man show, performed and produced in over 50 countries and over 25 languages, this show is one of the most successful comedies in Iceland, exploring the gender gap and communication between the sexes, be it between married couples or random strangers. The show has both made it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the "Longest Running Solo Show in Broadway History" and received numerous awards, including the Sir Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy.

This new production of the show with local actor Jóel Sæmundsson starring in the leading role of the Caveman is an updated and modernised version. Joel premiered his English language version in Las Vegas earlier this year with great success and standing ovations!

Icelandic born and once a slightly promising basketball player, Jóel Sæmundsson turned his hand to comedy and dramatic arts in 2005. Having graduated from U.K.’s Rose Bruford College in 2009, Joel has appeared in various theatrical performances, tv-shows and movies in his native Iceland. Joel co-starred in the most popular TV-series ever in Iceland, “Trapped”. With many years of experience in performance, Joel has just completed his first leading role in Swedish motion picture, “Pity the lovers”. Joel exclusively eats fast food and drinks beer. He is a bit artsy, but on the inside, he’s just another Caveman.

This show is a local production, brought to you by Theater Mogul Productions. Based in Reykjavik Iceland, Óskar Eiríksson, along with partners, started the company in 1999. Since then they've been mounting, investing, co-producing and producing successful theatre productions internationally, from the USA to South America, Europe, Asia and South Africa.

Don't miss a great evening out! Celebrate your inner caveman, drinks some beer and come and see the show! Check availability by choosing a date.
